REDDING, Calif. -

While investigators are keeping details of the father-son stabbing in Redding from Monday quiet, deputies said the fight ended with the son cutting off his own hands with a table saw.

The stabbing began at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday on the 21000-block of Scheer Dr. when 27-year-old Jason Dunn stabbed his father multiple times with scissors after a verbal argument.

When deputies arrived at the scene, Jason was standing in the driveway with both hands cut off off at his wrists.

Officials said the victim, 59-year-old Gregory Dunn, was found lying in his driveway with multiple stab wounds.

There are still no updates on the conditions of the father or son but investigators said that they are both being treated at a hospital and that the incident is still under investigation.
