Fugitive triple homicide suspect reportedly spotted in the Northstate

REDDING, Calif. -

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office said there was a possible recent sighting of Shane Miller in the Fort Jones, California area.

Miller is suspected of fatally shooting his wife, Sandy, and two young daughters, Shelby and Shasta, in their Shingletown home on May 7, 2013.

Investigators said the recent sighting involved a subject on foot, wearing a blue flannel shirt, green pants that are US Forest Service style, an unknown color ball cap, and was carrying a large green backpack that was approximately 3 feet tall. The subject also had a red beard that was six inches in length with gray at the roots.

Miller is considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The 45-year-old stands at 5'10, weighs 200 pounds, has blue eyes and Red Hair.

Miller has been added to the U.S. Marshal's 15 most wanted list.

A reward of up to $25,000 dollars is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
