REDDING, Calif. -

Redding Police are looking for a man who robbed a Safeway gas station at knife point.  The armed robbery happened around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Safeway at Churn Creek Road and Cypress Avenue in Redding.

The suspect came into the store with a knife and demanded money from the clerk.  The clerk gave him the cash and the suspect ran off down Churn Creek Road.

Police officers and a CHP helicopter searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.    He is described as a white man, between 5'10" and 6' tall, with thin build, and an unshaven face.

He was wearing a black ski jacket with grey pants and running shoes, and a makeshift ski-mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call Redding Police.
