PARADISE, Calif. -

A woman was taken to the hospital after a house fire in Paradise.

Fire crews attacked the blaze around 2:00 a.m. Saturday at the home on Foothill Road. They arrived to find the house fully involved in flames as well as a vehicle inside the garage.

Heather Findley lives there. According to her neighbor, Robert Lovett, she was able to get out of the house but not without suffering severe burns to her hands and her feet.

Lovett said Findley was taken to Feather River Hospital to be treated for burn injuries. He believes the fire started on the back porch of the house. One other person inside was able to get out safely.

The house, garage, and vehicle were destroyed in the fire.

The flames also spread to a nearby small amount of vegetation but firefighters were able to contain it before it spread to neighboring homes.

CAL FIRE officials confirmed they are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
