Jack’s Grill in Redding is turning 75, and to celebrate they are seeking photos prior to the 1950's of the restaurant, employees and patrons. Any photos not currently in the possession of the restaurant will get rewarded with free food or restaurant swag.
Owner Don Conley said Jack’s Grill has been a Redding staple for years and it is looking for pieces of its own history because there is a lot of history on California Street, the restaurant's location, that remains unknown.
Conley said that California Street was "not talked about in polite society back in the day," which makes finding out more about its history even more important.
According to the owner, Jack’s Grill will duplicate the pictures and will give the originals back. The pictures will go to the Shasta Historical Society.
