Jesse Huddleston, 32, was arrested after he reportedly fired shots at a home in Jones Valley.
According to Sgt. Brian Jackson, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office got a call at around 1:10 a.m. on Tuesday morning about a man reportedly wearing body armor and shooting at a residence on the 22000-block of Hidden Valley Dr. in Jones Valley.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene, they found and arrested Huddleston but said that he wasn't wearing any body armor.
Deputies also located the owner of the home that Huddleston was allegedly shooting at, Jack Barnes, 59. Barnes was not injured but he was at home at the time of the shooting.
There were bullet holes in the front of Barnes' home and they also found a .22 caliber rifle at Huddleston's home which matched the shell casings in front of Barnes' house.
Huddleston was arrested and booked at the Shasta County Jail for attempted murder, assault with a firearm and shooting at an inhabited dwelling.
During an interview, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office said Huddleston admitted to firing his rifle as well as knowing and having a dispute with Barnes. However, he said he did not remember what he was shooting at and he said he had consumed alcohol prior to shooting his gun.
