An early morning fire in Cottonwood has left three people without a home.
The fire broke out at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday morning on the 3500-block of Park Dr.
From the outside of the house, there did not appear to be significant damage, but fire crews said the kitchen was completely destroyed. They also told us the interior has severe smoke damage.
Three people were forced out of the home.
Investigators said at this point, they believe a candle caused the fire, but the official cause is still under investigation.
Eric Kiltz, an Emergency Disaster Coordinator for the Red Cross, said his volunteers responded and helped the family, who is now staying with friends until they figure everything out.
The Red Cross is helping them with food and kitchen items.
Our local Red Cross is always looking for volunteers and donations, especially during fire season. For more information you can visit their website at http://www.redcross.org/.
