Man arrested after allegedly threatening to jump off a bridge with child
A man who entered the U.S. illegally is in jail in Glenn County after allegedly threatening to kill himself and his child.
After an argument with his live-in girlfriend, Glenn County Sheriff's deputies say that 27-year-old Lucas Morales-Gonzalez took his 3-year-old child from the home and threatened to kill himself and the child by jumping off of a bridge.
Deputies responded to the report on Friday and Gonzalez eventually came home with the child. Gonzalez was arrested and booked at the Glenn County Jail in Willows on $205,000 bail.
He was arrested Friday for threatening a crime with the intent to terrorize, willful cruelty to a child which could possibly result in death or injury and battery on a non-cohabitating former spouse.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office said he was found to have entered the United States illegally and is on a no-bail Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold.
