REDDING, Calif. -

Redding Police arrested 35-year-old Lance Joseph Fox Friday after a brief standoff.

Fox was wanted on a $100,000 felony arrest warrant for stalking and terrorist threats.

Police attempted to serve the arrest warrant at a residence on the 1500 block of Whistling Drive where Fox was known to reside. When Fox exited the home he was approached by officers both on foot and in vehicles.

Fox recognized the investigators and quickly fled back into his residence.

Police surrounded the residence and a California Highway Patrol helicopter was called to the area.

Investigators used a public address system to convince Fox to surrender.

Fox walked out of the residence and was arrested without incident. He was booked at the Shasta County Jail for the warrants and charged with resisting arrest and violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
