NORD, Calif. -

Butte County Search and Rescue says a man missing since late Friday night out of the small town of Nord was found safe by a sheriff's deputy Sunday morning.

Patrick Freehill, 32, was last seen at his friend's house in the town of Nord at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, where he was reportedly feeling ill.

While on an unrelated call Sunday morning around 9 a.m., a Butte County sheriff's deputy came across Freehill as he walked aimlessly in the vicinity of where he was last seen. He appears to be in good health and is being returned to his family.

Why Freehill disappeared and where he has been is still unknown.
