More than 1,000 kindergartners came to Simpson University on Friday to learn about colleges and careers.
The goal was to help students know it is never too early to start thinking about what they want to do with their lives.
Booths representing different occupations presented information. The event also encouraged children to start thinking about college, noting that if they go to college they will have more opportunities.
College Options Associate Director Buffy Tanner said this is the eighth year that College Options has teamed with other organizations to present Kinder College Day.
"We want students from a very early age to really understand that they have all their choices available to them," said Tanner. "But they have to do their best in school so that when they become a senior in high school they still have all their choices available to them."
