A Red Bluff man was arrested after police said he attacked an officer. It started around 11:30 pm Tuesday.
A man reported a suspicious man near the Chamber of Commerce. The suspect had taken a stereo out of pickup truck.
Officers said they saw Robert Villasenor, 35, running from the scene carrying the stolen stereo speaker.
He ran westbound through the bed of Reed's Creek. Officers pursued him and he resisted arrest, hitting one of the officers.
Villasenor was taken into custody. They later learned he had a felony warrant from Butte County for absconding from post-release community supervision.
