HAPPY VALLEY, Calif. -

On Tuesday, Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said the Clover Fire started in two spots.

The fire sparked on Clear Creek Road, near the intersection with Cloverdale Road and Cloverdale Road west of Dale Lane.

Bosenko said arson investigators have been at the scene, however that does not mean arson is the cause.

Shasta County Fire Warden Rick Kyle said there have been several suspicious fires in the area.

On Tuesday two engines were still at the scene of the fire, which scorched more than 8,000 acres and destroyed 58 homes.

CAL FIRE Captain Jason Camillieri said investigating the fire takes time and officials want to make sure they finish interviews and close up all loose ends.
