ANDERSON, Calif. -

Ten people were contacted during a trespassing sweep of transient camps in Anderson Tuesday morning.

It happened in the area between Interstate 5, Balls Ferry Rd. and Barney Rd.

On Tuesday, police conducted phase two of their operation to enforce the no camping ordinance in city limits.

They gave people in the area a warning on Saturday in their first phase, advising them of the trespassing laws.

The officers gave people an advanced warning to allow them to make the proper arrangements before the enforcement operation.

Tuesday Police came back to take action against five of the alleged illegal campers.

24-year-old Michael Pond was booked for trespassing and resisting arrest.

Four others were issued citations for warrants, trespassing and camping in city limits including 53-year-old Antonio Segoviano Perez, 36-year-old Melissa Perez, 54-year-old Paula Gauwain and 47-year-old Michael Scanlon.

Clean up of the camps will take place sometime in the next few weeks.
