Rain welcomed by many in Shasta County
Folks all over town were enjoying the rain Wednesday night.
We found one man, Willy, sitting on bench on a Market street with just a rain coat to protect him from the drops.
"I don't mind it once in a while, but I'd rather see the rain go into the lakes and rivers and not on me, haha," said Willy.
It was a different story for folks at the Shasta Mall.
We spoke with several people who said the rain was a great excuse to get some shopping done.
"Get out of the rain, cruise the mall, see what's on sale, check out some maybe spring clothes for hotter weather that might be ahead but happy to see the rain," said Lauren Bell, who was returning some recently purchased bathing suits.
And what would a rainy day be with a trip to the movies?
The lines at Movies 14 were anything but long. The wet stuff was a great excuse for three young adults from Anderson who went to see, "Endless Love."
The wet weather may stick around. The KRCR News Channel 7 First Alert Weather team is tracking another storm this Friday.
