RED BLUFF, Calf. -

Red Bluff Fire Department is looking for the driver of a truck seen in the area of a house fire believed to be the work of an arsonist.

The fire on the morning of November 19 destroyed a home at 334 Main Street in Red Bluff.

Red Bluff Fire Division Chief Matthew Shobash said a light-colored pickup truck was seen on surveillance video in the area, about 15 minutes before the flames were seen coming from the building.

The truck is described as a 2009 GMC or Chevy pickup truck.  The vehicle is light-colored, with an extended cab and a tool box in the bed.

Shobash said a person got out of the vehicle, went close to the building for about one minute, then returned to the vehicle and drove away.

Fifteen minutes later, surveillance video showed the fire beginning to flicker.

The fire burned for about 20 minutes before anyone noticed it and called 911.

Chief Shobash said the person in the truck is a person of interest and investigators would like to talk to them.  If you have information about the truck or its driver, call 527-1126.
