Red Bluff High School students didn't let the recent chilly weather stop them from jumping into the pool Today.
Red Bluff High held their Polar Bear Swim Friday in which 11 students participated .
The Polar Bear Swim has been a tradition for years. But because of the cold weather, not a lot of students participated in it this year.
Ice cubes were added into Red Bluff High School’s swimming pool to make the pool a little bit colder.
But the 49 degree water didn’t stop the 11 students from participating.
"Why not, right?” said Red Bluff High School senior Jordan Johnson. “ I think it’s a great way to kick off holiday classic week. I feel like this year is gonna be colder, it was pretty cold last year."
The students that participated did some cannon balls, others tried belly flops, the goal was to overcome the icy water and compete for the win.
Red Bluff High School students said it was a perfect way to celebrate this holiday season and the weather didn’t matter.
"As soon as I hit the water it was freezing but the adrenaline kicked right in and it was awesome," said student, Lane Hoskins.
