A Redding man and two others are dead after a rollover crash in Yuba County. According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol appears to be a factor in the collision.
CHP officials said 29-year-old Nicholas Hill of Redding was driving a 2004 Lexus sedan, heading southbound on Marysville Road south of Frenchtown, when the car began to veer across the eastern edge of the road. Hill over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. The car collided with a large tree and rolled several times.
Three other passengers were inside. Hill, 20-year-old Lacey Newman of Dobbins, and 21-year-old Taylor Ellis of Santee were all thrown from the car. All three were killed in the crash.
Colton Sullivan, 23, of Dobbins suffered moderate injuries. He remained restrained inside the vehicle.
Any witnesses to this crash are being asked to contact the CHP Yuba-Sutter office.
