Redding woman says Court St. speeders wrecked 2 of her cars
Barbara Dickinson says in the last eight months, two of her cars have been totaled by someone speeding down Court Street.
She lives near the intersection of Court and Sonoma streets and says cars speed through there all the time.
“Nobody does the speed limit at this end of court street,"said Dickinson.
Dickinson said she lost her first car in November. Then in August, her other car got hit.
“I can't continue to be losing vehicles cause we're forced to park on the street,” she says.
She said Redding Police need to do something about the problem.
“Everyone is doing at least 45 (m.p.h) through here because they want to beat each other to the single lane,”said Dickinson. “Some of our friends suggested taking out part of the sidewalk take it down to a single lane.”
Dickinson says she has reported the incidents to police, although they tell us they have no record of it.
