Remembering 9/11: The Northstate commemorates the terror attacks 12 years later

REDDING, Calif. -

There are several Patriot Day ceremonies Wednesday across the Northstate to commemorate the 12 anniversary of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001.   

In Redding a 9/11 ceremony was held at 7 a.m at the giant American flag on North Bechelli Lane.  The Enterprise High School band and CAL FIRE bagpipers played patriotic songs.
 
Another ceremony was held by the Disabled American Veterans in Paradise at the chapter 106 Veterans Hall at 7:30 a.m.

In Chico a ceremony was held at Fire Station 1 on Salem Street at 7 a.m.

At noon, Chico Fire Station 5 on Manzanita Avenue in will hold a ceremony and show a 9/11 memorial under construction.

At 5:30 p.m there will be a ceremony at the main Shasta Lake Fire Station on Shasta Lake Boulevard and Ashby.
