Rollover crash leaves one person dead

IGO, Calif. -

One person was killed in a rollover accident in Shasta County Sunday night.

The crash happened at 9:54 p.m. on Clear Creek Road in the Igo/Happy Valley area, about one mile west of Cloverdale Road.

According to the CHP, the 2000 Dodge Stratus was headed eastbound when it lost control and rolled.   The driver, a 34-year-old man from Anderson, was ejected from car and died on scene.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.  His name was not released pending notification of his family.

Two other people in the car were not seriously injured.  Samantha Cole, 32, and Christopher Shoemate, 34, both of Anderson were wearing their seatbelts.

The accident remains under investigation.  The CHP said the man had been drinking prior to the collision.
