The wife of triple murder suspect Shane Miller told family members he was going to kill her just weeks before she was killed.
Miller is accused of shooting his wife and two young daughters at their Shingletown home in May.
According to a summary drafted by the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, deputies interviewed a handful of Shane and Sandy Miller's family members.
Sandy had apparently told family members that Shane had threatened to kill her and their children, 8-year-old Shelby and 4-year-old Shasta, if she ever left.
The family also told deputies that on the day of the homicide, Sandy was going to tell Shane that she wanted a place of her own for her and the kids.
Sandy had described her husband to them as quote, "having a violent nature toward her."
They said the couple had an ongoing issue with domestic violence.
Sandy sought help at the Shasta Women's Refuge just a few weeks before the murders where refuge officials said Miller filled out a questionnaire and spoke with a domestic violence advocate, but declined an offer to stay at the shelter.
Typically the shelter protects the identity of women who come to them for help, but Miller's name has been released because of hear highly publicized death.
