ANDERSON, Calif. -

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office was looking for a suspect Monday afternoon near Anderson.

The incident began when a deputy saw a suspicious vehicle near Deschutes Rd. and Green Acres Rd. in Anderson.

When the deputy made eye contact with the driver and attempted to pull the driver over, the driver took off. The truck then stopped at a house and fled on foot into a wooded area.

A K-9 officer and California Highway Patrol helicopter were out assisting in the search but the suspect has not been found.

Around 4 p.m., deputies towed the truck and ended the search. They are attempting to figure out the name of the suspect.
