Silicon Valley company cuts ribbon on new Chico location

CHICO, Calif. -

Silicon Valley based Milestone Technologies will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday to celebrate the opening of its new Client Contact Center, scheduled to go live during the first week of November.  Milestone is adding 110 jobs to the 230 new positions that were recently filled for the Center.

The 340 new jobs, created in the span of four weeks, positions Milestone as the 4th largest private employer in the city, according to the Chico City Manager's office.  

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday on Convair Avenue near the Chico Airport.

Among the dignitaries expected to attend are Milestone President and CEO Prem Chand, State Sen. Jim Nielsen, Chico Mayor Scott Gruendl and city councilmembers, Butte County Supervisors Bill Connelly and Larry Wahl, Chico City Manager Brian Nakamura and Ben Juliano, Interim Dean of CSU Chico's College of Engineering

Prem Chand founded Milestone Technologies in Fremont, Calif., in 1997. The company provides customized IT solutions to some of the world's most well-known companies, such as eBay, Facebook, Google and many others. Milestone is a global company with more than 1,000 existing employees serving clients in Europe, Asia and Canada.
