Nike, Adidas and Under Armour are chasing Kevin Durant, who is a free agent in the shoe and apparel endorsement company race with a $60 million contract that tied him to the Swoosh expiring.

Durant, who has two years and $39 million remaining on his current contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, could command more than $30 milion per year from a shoe company. Under Armour could try to lure the Maryland native with an even more lucrative offer.

Nike and Adidas, which has Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard and Dwight Howard leading its stable of NBA players, are competing for Durant's signature.

Nike has a commanding presence in the market with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant.

Rose is paid $185 million by Adidas, a 13-year deal with sales incentives that could push him over $200 million.

Adidas just released images of Rose's latest signature shoe, D Rose 5 Boost, which will be available in stores Oct. 23 for $160.
