REDDING, Calif. -

Law enforcement officers were out overnight in Redding, searching for the suspect in a stolen vehicle pursuit.

The chase through Redding reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

The chase started at about 2 a.m. Friday on South Bonneyview Road when officers tried to stop a pickup.  The truck had been taken earlier in the night during a commercial burglary in Anderson.

The suspect refused to pull over, leading officers up Churn Creek Road.  The driver was able to elude police near Browning Street.  The stolen pickup was found abandoned on Bodenhamer Boulevard off Churn Creek Road.

The suspect was not found.  Law enforcement used a helicopter and K-9s to search the area.
