Sun sets on 93rd Annual Red Bluff Round-Up
Cowboys and cowgirls are riding off into the sunset as the 93rd Annual Red Bluff Round-Up came to a close with the final rodeo events held Sunday afternoon.
The weekend wrapped up with saddle bronc riding, always a crowd favorite.
Each year, the rodeo draws people to Red Bluff from around the west coast and cowboys from all over the county compete for that championship buckle and cash prize.
Many spectators were dressed in pink, part of an awareness and fundraising campaign called "Tough Enough to Wear Pink."
"It's a benefit--breast cancer research--and we're proud to do it. It's a rotary effort and it's one of our greatest days of the year," said Tim Potanovic, a Red Bluff Rotarian and Round-Up lover.
On top of auctioning off a Polaris utility vehicle, community groups raise money for the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign all year long.
Over the years they've raised some $238,000.
Rodeo events are a big draw for the Round-Up, as are trick riding shows, barrel racing and the Budweiser Clydesdales.
