Suspect pursuit ends with crash & arrest outside a Tehama County home
A police chase in Tehama County ended with the arrest of a Red Bluff man on a series of charges.
It started around 8 p.m. In Los Molinos on Highway 99E near Taft Avenue.
Tehama County deputies initiated a traffic enforcement stop on a blue Nissan pickup. Deputies said the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Jeremy Keeler, 34 of Red Bluff, refused to yield and a pursuit ensued northbound on Hwy 99E.
Deputies pursued the vehicle Keeler was driving from Los Molinos to the Dairyville area. The pursuit ended when Keeler drove the pickup through a fence at the intersection of 68th Avenue and Shasta Boulevard disabling the pickup.
Keeler tried to flee the scene on foot but he was apprehended by Tehama County sheriff's deputies and CHP outside a nearby residence near the crash scene.
An inventory search of the vehicle netted a loaded stolen firearm and illegal narcotics.
Keeler was arrested on the listed on several charges along with an outstanding parole warrant.
