DAIRYVILLE, Calif. -

A house fire in Tehama County Saturday left a woman and her two grandchildren homeless.

KRCR News Channel 7 was in Dairyville around noon just after firefighters arrived.  Dairyville is located along Highway 99 between Los Molinos and Red Bluff.

The house, located approximately 100 yards off Highway 99 between Jersey and Oklahoma Avenues, was fully-engulfed in flames.

The house is a total loss.  It’s also an emotional loss for the homeowner Patricia Dover, who said the house was built 35 years ago by her late husband.

Dover said she was watching television and saw a flicker from a small fire near the back of the house.  Her grandson yelled for her to 'get out' and she called 911.   Dover jokingly said “I'm fortunate that it didn't happen at night because I'd be out here in my scivvies.”

No one was hurt.  Dover said the house was fully-insured.  Tehama County CAL FIRE is investigating the cause of the fire.
