REDDING, Calif. -

The ResQ Animal Coalition in Redding, is trying to find homes for about 30 dogs that they rescued from various shelters in California, who would have been euthanized otherwise. Wednesday those dogs were dropped off at Paws for a Cause.

They are hoping the dogs get adopted or taken into foster care so that the coalition can save other dogs.

"There are 20 to 40 dogs a day that get killed in the shelter because people go home for Christmas,  they migrate or something and the animals are left behind so they have no choice but to euthanize,” said Janie Hopper with the ResQ Animal Coalition.

The dogs range in age and have all been neutered and spayed.

If you’d like to adopt, provide foster care or volunteer you can call: (530) 276-9364 or via email: resq@resqac.com.
