CHICO, Calif. -

Neighbors in a Chico community are upset after two men tried to ruin their Christmas.
Chico Police said the suspects were in a large diesel truck, and allegedly drove up on people's front lawns and destroyed all the Christmas decorations.

"God knows only what they were doing," said Steve Gomes, a resident on Calistoga Drive.
Gomes' lawn was one of the few that were hit.
"It's definitely a lifted truck with a slight rear-to-front tilt," said Gomes.  "I definitely know there were two people in the vehicle wearing hats."
A dark colored Dodge Ram with 35 inch tires was the truck Gomes described.
Gomes added that his neighbors just a few doors down the road were hit as well.
Also, around the corner off Caribou Court and Mill Creek Drive, the Christmas decorations in front of a house were also destroyed.
"They came through there and destroyed the Christmas decorations and they ran the tire marks up onto the lawn," said Gomes.

Roughly 50 feet of Gomes' yard was destroyed and track marks are about half a foot deep.
"I just saw them go right through the embankment here and even damaged some of the cement and they just went right down Calistoga and made a left-hand turn exiting out onto the Esplanade," said Gomes.
And though people here are angry, the vandals are not stopping neighbors from celebrating the holidays.
Tony Valente was putting up his decorations with no fear Monday morning.

"It's just part of the Christmas season you got to take the chance," said Gomes.

Chico police are asking anyone with additional information to give them a call at (530) 897-4911.
