ANDERSON, Calif. -

Police arrested an Anderson man Sunday afternoon who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Anderson Police said 35-year-old Andrew Scott Abramenko was spotted riding his bike in the 1300 block of Pinon Avenue in Anderson around 3:50 p.m. Sunday.

Police said Abramenko was wanted on seven outstanding arrest warrants and for additional questioning in several other theft related cases.

When officers attempted to contact him he allegedly hid behind a parked vehicle then attempted to flee from the area on his bicycle.

He ran through residential yards and eventually hid inside a detached shed at a home in the 2100 block of Knobcone Avenue.

With the help of Shasta County Sheriff's deputies and an Anderson Police K-9, Abramenko was removed from the shed.

He was taken into custody without incident and was found to allegedly be in possession of stolen property, narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia.

Abramenko was booked into the Shasta County Jail on his felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants with a total bail amount of $126,000.

New charges for allegedly possessing stolen property, narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia will be filed with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
