We have storm number four heading our way and although it won’t be nearly as impressive as number three, it may create a few problems. The showers have already made it here for some of us but the main batch of moisture is still coming in off the coast. Some heavier rain is expected to move through Trinity County early Tuesday morning but will most likely die out before it moves over the valley. Otherwise, we can expect to see isolated showers throughout the day on Tuesday for everyone with snow levels above 5000 feet.
Our in house forecast model is showing an initial disturbance passing through and giving some areas in northern Shasta County a shot of moderate to heavy rain before the main event moves through sometime between Midnight and 2:00 Wednesday morning. Chico will get in on the action between 3:00 and 4:00 Wednesday morning.
Once all is said and done the valley could see between 1 and 2 inches while the mountains could see between 2 and 4 inches. Although this is not a lot of rain by any stretch of the imagination with an already overly saturated ground we may see some minor flooding especially in the areas that saw flooding Sunday morning.
The rain is completely out of here by Thursday and minus a few weak disturbances moving to our north on Friday and Saturday it should remain dry through the weekend.
