Temperatures on the rise tomorrow then falling fast next week.
Highs will peak in the mid 80s tomorrow in the valley. A few areas in Glenn and Colusa Counties could even touch 90° tomorrow afternoon. Winds will be a bit gusty straight out of the north but we’ll only see a peak gust to 20 or maybe 25mph mostly in the northern end of the valley. The clouds will increase overnight and come Monday it will be pretty tough to see any sunshine. Showers will move in Monday afternoon and thunderstorms will threaten Tuesday.
The biggest threat on Tuesday comes from hail. Conditions aren’t really conducive to rotating thunderstorms on Tuesday but will likely have updrafts strong enough for hail to form. The storms will likely be focused in Tehama and Glenn Counties but Shasta and Butte Counties could get a couple storms as well.
Afterwards we do get a break from the storms for Wednesday and Thursday but we never really clear out all the clouds. Clouds do thin, but will still be a factor on Wednesday and Thursday before completely covering the skies Friday and Saturday with rain coming this weekend.
