Weather Forecast: Isolated Mountain Showers, Breezy
Updated On: Jan 31 2014 08:54:19 AM CST
The Northstate mountains will see another round of isolated to widely scattered rain and snow showers. The valley can expect breezy to gusty north winds this afternoon.
With just enough instability from daytime heating, the mountains can expect another round of isolated showers and snow showers. Once the sun sets most of these showers will quickly fall apart.
The Northstate will also see a slight pressure gradient develop on the backside of this week's trough. This will be enough to pick up the north and northwest winds for the valley and foothills this afternoon. Our in house model continues to advertise winds gusting over 20 mph by the afternoon and into this evening.
We'll keep it dry through the next 7 days , as a ridge of high pressure develops off to our west. Several models continue to hint at a wet system by next weekend. We'll continue to update you on this potential wet storm as we get closer.
