Weather Forecast: Unsettled This Week
Updated On: Jan 07 2014 07:28:59 PM CST
The ridge of high pressure that has been dominating our weather pattern and responsible for the below average rain and snow has weakened this week opening the door wide open for approaching storms. The only problem is the fact that there really aren’t any significant storms out there. It will be unsettled on Wednesday and Thursday meaning we will see a mixture of sun, clouds and maybe a passing sprinkle or light shower but nothing to write home about.
High pressure briefly builds back over the Northstate on Friday before what looks to be a more significant storm scheduled to arrive late in the day on Saturday. That being said, we use the word “significant” because we could actually see some measurable rain. However, it will most likely only be around a tenth of an inch of rain which isn’t nearly enough to help us get out of our deficit.
By Sunday high pressure builds back over the Northstate and is expected to stick around through all of next week with temperatures nearing 70 degrees once again.
