Tuesday was a windy day in the Northstate but it looks like the winds will die down and any chance for rain will hold off until next week. Redding saw a peak gust of 43 mph, Red Bluff 36 mph and Chico up to 28 mph. It will still be a bit on the breezy side on Wednesday but it won’t be nearly as bad as Tuesday.
Temperatures in the low to mid 70s can be expected for the rest of the work week before we climb to the upper 70s and low 80s this weekend.
We’ll see a minor drop in our temperatures as we go into next week and there is a little uncertainty in our chances for rain. The American forecast model (GFS) is holding off until Thursday of next week before bringing us any rain but the European forecast model brings it in as early as Tuesday. Any way you look at it, the amount of rain with these storms is not looking very impressive at this point.
