Weather Forecast: Weak System Saturday, Big Warm Up Next Week

The valley will warm to the low to mid 70s today. A clipper system will bring isolated mountain showers and gusty north winds to the valley floor Saturday.
There may be a few isolated showers in the mountains today, otherwise, it will be a dry and mild day for the rest of us.
A clipper system will just graze the Northstate Saturday afternoon and evening. Likely strong enough for a few isolated mountain showers. It will also help to pick up the north winds Saturday and into Sunday.
High pressure will quickly build in starting Sunday afternoon through Thursday.
Forecast models continue to waffle on how strong the ridge will be but confidence continue to grow that it will be strong than the one 10 days ago. Considering the valley hit the low to mid 90s with last big ridge, Upper 90s to near 100 is not out of the question.
