As people prepare to see friends and family over the holidays, and as some might have time off of work, plastic surgery procedures see a jump during this time of year, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
While plastic surgery procedures might be more popular this time of year, the ASPS advises patients to make sure they truly want the procedures.
The ASPS also wants patients to be aware of recovery times. The ASPS says that while some procedures may require just a few days of recovery, others could take longer. The ASPS also advises to take it easy during this busy time of year and allow yourself time to heal. It also wants patients to be aware of his or her physical limitations during recovery. While patients might want to carry large gifts and move trees and other holiday decorations, patients should expect to be a little sore following procedures.
