Woman fights back against purse snatchers outside Redding hotel

REDDING, Calif. -

Redding Police are looking for two suspects who tried to rob a woman outside a Redding hotel.

It happened Monday around 2:35 a.m. at the Marriott TownePlace Suites at 2180 Larkspur Lane, one block from Hilltop Drive.  Officers contacted the victim, 52-year-old Robin Durand of French Gulch.

Durand reported she was in the parking lot of the hotel near her vehicle when she was approached by two black male adults.  The suspects demanded Durand's purse.  There was a struggle over the purse. 

During the struggle Durand was struck in the face by one of the suspects but she was able to hang onto her purse.  The suspects ran away.

Suspect #1 was described as a black man, early to mid 20's, slender to average build, 5'8" to 5'10", no facial hair.

Suspect #2 was described as a black man, early to mid 20's, slender to average build, 5'8" to 5'10", no facial hair and wearing dark clothing.
